COVID Opportunity: Thank You
By all accounts, Phi Sig's physical plant has been one of the key attractions to prospective members. I'm excited to be part of a renovation that will keep it that way for years to come. I had a chance to tour the house mid-renovation, and it looks like it should turn out very well. I want to take this chance to recognize some of the brothers who have made this possible.
First, Sean Beausoleil took charge of the construction project; crucially, he connected us to our excellent construction partner Stukel Group. Todd King is leading the fundraising team and has provided the largest donation so far. Dave Vogel gave the first big donation to start the project. Joe McMahon has been one of the prime organizers and idea generators, and the liaison to the chapter as we try to ensure our improvements actually enhance undergraduate life. Bob Xavier was the first to suggest taking the opportunity to do a major renovation while the undergraduates were out of the house anyway. Alex Tellez has kept the books and also gave a sizable donation early on. Related to the fundraising effort, we have built this new alumni web site largely through the efforts of Mike McDougall, Dewey Sasser, and Michael Traub.
Many others have contributed significantly to the planning, execution, and funding of this project. I'm proud to say it has been a team effort and I can't wait for the undergraduates to move back in!
